- David M. Tvedt, 66, of Larimore, ND passed away December 12, 2016, at home in the love and comfort of his family after a brief battle with cancer.
- David was born December 1, 1950 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Racine and Bertha (Solem) Tvedt. He grew up in rural Larimore, graduating from Larimore High School in 1968. He enlisted in the US Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He farmed with his dad, and then on his own for many years, working snow removal at the Grand Forks AFB during the winter months. He began working for the ND Department of Transportation in August 1999, retiring in April 2016, due to health conditions.
- He was united in marriage to Jeannie Farrell on December 30, 1988, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Larimore. They have one daughter, Kelli.
- David loved his family, farming, and spending time camping and fishing at Devils Lake. He also enjoyed the love of his grand-dogs Sarg, Idgie, and Sweeney. He was a kind and caring man, going out of his way to help others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
- He was preceded in death by his parents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
- David is survived by his wife, Jeannie, Larimore, ND, daughter, Kelli, Mayville, ND, sister, Jennifer (Ron) Lester, Finley, ND, nephew Brian (Nancy) Wysocki, Grace and Adam of Meadow Grove, NE, niece Krista (Vince) Jacobs, Eli, Molly, and Lou of Dunkirk, MD, and childhood friend, Gene Paupst, Larimore, ND.
- VISITATION: Friday, December 16 from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service held in the Bakke Funeral Home of Larimore. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Saturday.
- FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Larimore.
- MILITARY HONORS: Ted Valerius Post 97 of the Larimore American Legion, and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Team.
- BURIAL: Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND.
